You and your so-called pals and buddies have a job. You need to answer my questions. The best one wins. You can use text, cartoons, pictures or videos to win... but you just have to be original. The judges are grumpy old men with a bone to pick. Simply add your answer as a comment to the Ask Task you're interested in winning. We review comments and approve the ones that we feel are in the running. Have fun and send an effective chain letter to get the word out about The Ask Task.
Askville, Minnesota—May 30, 2008— Chico, the AskMaster of asktask.blogspot.com, has launched a Digg Depression Group to help individuals and businesses whose news has been shunned by the digg community.
"Not having newsworthiness has got to be the worse feeling in the world," said Chico, the creator of Ask Task. "When I checked the number of diggs we had on day two, I almost broke into tears. Our story had just three diggs. It was then I knew that I needed a support group."
The support group has yet to hold its first meeting, partly because the admission process follows much of the same process as the digg site. Interested group applicants must submit their story and why they don't feel diggsworthy. A panel then reviews the submissions and "refers" the stories that are found to be most intriguing. To date, no submission has received the 10 "referals" minimum to be accepted to the support group.
"It really is ironic," said Chico. "I haven't even been accepted to the group and I founded it."
